Blue Dogs Media was hired to help promote and brand an event—The Pink Runway Project. It was Maine’s first and only charity event to bring awareness to the breast reconstruction options available to all women diagnosed with breast cancer. The challenge; we had 8 weeks to the event, a limited budget, an all-volunteer staff, and a goal to raise $100,000.
Blue Dogs Media helped marshal, manage, and execute event logistics, event marketing and PR, fashion show production, model recruitment, fashion designer recruitment, sponsorship, stage design, silent auction, and live entertainment. We successfully brought together a team of nurses, doctors, past patients, and community volunteers to orchestrate an incredible gala evening celebrating survival and choice. We used the power of story to engage the local audience through PSAs, radio interviews, and blogs that were shared through social and earned media. We were successful meeting our goals in that first year, and The Pink Runway Project has since celebrated its 4th year of success while the community surrounding breast reconstruction continues to grow and support the survivors who are facing this difficult choice.
